Sailing the Med offer the IYT Small Powerboat & Rib Master (MCA approved) course

 

SMALL POWERBOAT & RIB MASTER

  • Covers vessels up to 10m
  • Operation in coastal regions
  • Driven by outboard or inboard motors
  • In fair weather
  • No horsepower limitations
  • No accommodation

 

COURSE OUTLINE

This 2/3 day course covers 1/2 days of theory and one day of practical boat handling including:

  • Safety at sea

  • VHF Radio operations
  • Small powerboats and rigid inflatable boats
  • Launching and recovery
  • Anchors and anchoring
  • Nautical terminology
  • Boat handling under power
  • Man overboard procedures
  • Ropes and rope-work
  • Basic rules of the road (collision regulations)
  • Glossary of terms

(2/3 day course)

€450 person all year round

 

All prices include the cost of the IYT course complete with your “International Passport” and IYT credit card style certificate, fuel and mooring fees.

 

Not included in the price is the cost of getting to Sailing the Med, Accommodation, Meals, Holiday Insurance which you must take out and any fees relating to an ICC certificate if requested.

 

HOW DO I GET MY SMALL POWERBOAT & RIB MASTER CERTIFICATE COMMERCIALLY ENDORSED?

The IYT “Master of Yachts” and the IYT “Small Powerboat & RIB Master” certificates do not require a “commercial endorsement” because they are commercial certificates.
